Alan G. Lau

Alan George Lau, 73, of Glendale Heights, passed away on November 1, 2026. He was born on March 13, 1953 to Albert and Lucille (Kunz) Lau. Alan grew up in Niles, IL, and was a graduate of Maine East High School and Wright Jr. College. He was employed by Motorola in Schaumburg, IL. Upon retirement, he took up a second career in real estate as well as being an entrepreneur.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Anne nee Timmerman; sons, Alex (Jen) Lau and their children, Nathan and Allyson, Adam (Cesyl Adina) Lau, and Alan Lau; brothers, Richard (Chris) Lau, Terry Lau; sister-in-law, Annette Kuhn-Lau; numerous loving nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

Predeceased by his parents, Albert and Lucille; in-laws, Walter and Inge Timmerman; brother, Norman; and sister-in-law, Renee.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 9, 2026, from 4:00 through 8:00 PM at Humes Funeral Home, 320 W. Lake St, Addison, IL 60101 (2 mi. W. of Rt. 83, 2 mi. E. of Rt. 53). Funeral service on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the funeral home with an additional visitation beginning at 9:00 AM. Interment TBD.
