Loving son of the late Lelio and Dena Cardilli; Devoted father of Kimberly A. Lalagos and Alfred M. (Stephanie) Cardilli; Dear brother of Norman L. (Linda) Cardilli and Kerry A. (Raymond A.) Franze; Dear grandfather of Michael A. Lalagos and Lelio Americo Cardilli; Dear uncle of many loving nieces and nephews. Born in Chicago Heights and a graduate of Mendel Catholic Prep and Loras College. Al settled in Addison, IL where he raised his family with his wife, Geraldine A. Young. Began his career as an accountant and later founded and built a business developing computer software at the dawn of the distributed computing era. In lieu of flowers, donations to Crohn's & Colitis Foundation greatly appreciated.  Visitation Friday, 4-8 PM at Humes Funeral Home, 320 W. Lake St., Addison (2 Mi. W. of Rt. 83, 2 Mi. E. of Rt. 83). Friends are asked to meet Saturday 10:45 a.m. at St. Philip the Apostle Church for Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 a.m. Service concluded after Mass. Arrangements by Bassi Funeral Services. Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, the visitation and interment will be limited to 25 people at any given time.  All visitors entering the funeral home are required to wear a face covering and sanitize their hands upon arrival. Due to the number of people who would like to pay their respects, we ask that you make your visit a brief one in order to allow all who would like to attend a chance to do so. The family appreciates your sincere cooperation during these very challenging and difficult times. If you do not feel well, it is recommended that you stay home and rest.
