Anna Prymak Lutarewych

On Thursday, September 22, 2022, Anna, loving mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother, passed away at the age of 87. She was born in Poland, and she was of Ukrainian descent. She immigrated to New York City with her family in 1950, where she graduated from Washington Irving High School in 1954. She dedicated her life to her husband, children and was an active member of the Ukrainian communities in the Twin Cities (MN); and Bloomingdale, Illinois – both of which the family was a part and developed lifelong friendships. Later in life, she retired with her husband in Fort Myers, Florida. She is survived by her four children: Michael (Barbara), Sonia, Katherine, and Steven (Laura); five grandchildren: Anthony, Daniel (Lindsey), Atia, Asher, and Ayla; two brothers: Leonard (Laila) and Peter (Brenda); a sister-in-law: Vera Curtis (Robert, dec.); one cousin: Rostislaw Prymak (Judy); and 14 nieces and nephews and their children. She was preceded in death by husband, Anatoly Lutarewych; her parents, Elias and Juliana Prymak; her brother, Rostislaw Prymak; and a nephew, Joshua Prymak.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 2nd, 2022, at Humes Funeral Home, 230 West Lake Street, Addison, IL, from 5-6 pm, with a Panachyda, from 6-7 pm. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 3rd, 2022, at 10 am at St. Andrew’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 300 Army Trail Road, Bloomingdale, IL. A reception will follow the funeral in the church hall.
