Catherine A. Tessitore

On Sunday, September 28, 2025, Catherine A. Tessitore, age 94, peacefully went home to dance in heaven with her Lord. Catherine was a long-time resident of Bensenville and Wood Dale, IL and an exquisite baker. Catherine was the devoted wife of 65 years to the late Frank. She will be remembered as a loving mother of Patricia (Camille) Cyr, Joyce (Dean) Reid and Kathleen (Tommy) Simonelli. Proud and amazing grandmother of Jamie (John), Angela (Dustin), Ashley (Zues), Jeremy (Alyssa), Adam (Alexis) and Frankie (Lauren). Awesome great-grandmother of Nicholas, Anabella, Landon, Emily, Jacob, Kennedy, Tessa, Sophie, Ivy, Jovie, Myles and Easton. Fond aunt to many nieces and nephews and dearest friend to all. Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, George and Angela (née Gattuso) Zaranti and brothers, Peter and Anthony Zaranti.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025, from 3-8 PM at Humes Funeral Home, 320 W. Lake Street, Addison IL. Friends and family are asked to meet Friday, October 3, 2025, 9:45 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 330 E. Fullerton Street, Addison IL for Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM. Entombment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, River Grove IL.
