Conrad O. Palm, 82, of Addison. Beloved husband of 57 years to Diane nee Cauble. Cherished father of Linda (Patricia) Palm and Suzanne (Michael) Gleason. Loving brother-in-law of Richard (Mary Ellen) Cauble. Fond uncle of Debbe Sperl, Kathy (Dale) Plumb, Rachel (Grady) Daniels, Kimberly Martin, and Richard (Lisa) Cauble. Also survived by many cousins and friends. Preceded in death by his brother Samuel (late Ethel) Palm, nephew David (Beverly) Palm, and niece Jeannette (Bill) Gasper. As a youth, Conrad enjoyed restoring and riding Indian motorcycles. As an Army veteran, he was a member of the 11th Airborne Division. Conrad worked diligently as a mechanical engineer for 53 years at DuPage Machine Products until his retirement in 2011. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, playing the guitar and harmonica, and fishing.A soft-spoken, tender-hearted man who stood by his principles, Conrad was a faithful and loving family man, always doing his best and desiring the best for others. Above all, he was a man of integrity who trusted in Jesus and loved deeply.Visitation Friday July 3, 2015 10 AM until time of Funeral noon at Humes Funeral Home. Private interment Memory Gardens.
