David Richard Ratkowski

ADDISON - David Richard Ratkowski, 55. Beloved husband of Debbie nee Wodarczyk. Loving father of Afton (Mark) Swistek and Elyse Ratkowski. Dear son of Patricia and the late Richard Ratkowski. Fond brother of Paul and Mark Ratkowski. Dearest stepfather of Krystin Wodarczyk, Becca (Pepe) Celis, Kellie and Michael Wodarczyk. Dear stepgrandfather of Alexis, Anthony, and Aliviah. David was an Army Veteran and served in Germany. He retired in 2014 as the manager of information systems for the Village of Addison after 25 years of service. An avid Harley Davidson rider, he was traveling the USA with his wife Debbie. Dave was a driven, strong willed man who never let anything stand in his way from achieving or providing for others. He was a friend and mentor to anyone in need, and touched many lives. We will always remember the sound of his booming laugh, strong handshake, encompassing hugs, and his unique smile. Memorial Visitation Thursday, June 11th 2015, 3-7 PM, Memorial Service 6 PM at Humes Funeral Home, 320 W. Lake St., Addison (2 Mi. W. of Rt. 53, 2 Mi. E. Rt. 83). In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family greatly appreciated.
