Maria Loreto Vargas, age 98, passed away peacefully March 20, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Alfredo Gutierrez; loving mother of Vicente Gutierrez, Guadalupe (Gabriel) Soraia, Ester (the late Xavier) Anincer, Anita (Miguel) Parra and Artemio Gutierrez; cherished grandmother and great grandmother of many; dearest sister of the late Celerino and Ninfa Vargas; treasured aunt, great aunt and friend of many.

Visitation Friday, March 28th, 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Humes Funeral Home, 320 W. Lake Street, Addison. Family and friends will meet at St. Joseph Church, 330 E. Fullerton Avenue, Addison at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 29th for Mass of Christian Burial at 8:15 a.m. Interment to follow at Arlington Cemetery, Elmhurst, IL.
