Nikolai "Nik" Goncharoff

Nikolai “Nik” Goncharoff, age 100, of Hoffman Estates, passed away peacefully. Beloved husband of Nadiya, and the late Natalia. Cherished father of Volodymyr (Marta) and Pavlo (Olya). Loving grandfather of Tatiana (Sher) Singh and Svetlana (Serhat) Incel. Great grandfather of Demyan Incel. Dear uncle and godfather, to many.

Born in Ukraine as one of eleven siblings, Nik built a remarkable life in America. He enjoyed a long career as an electrical engineer at Motorola, where he also served as captain of the Motorola Chess Club.

Nik will be remembered for his kind spirit and unwavering desire to bring joy to those around him.

Visitation Sunday, November 2, 2:00 p.m. until time of Panachyda, 5:00 p.m. at Humes Funeral Home, 320 W. Lake Street, Addison, IL. Funeral Service Monday, November 3, 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment to follow at St. Andrew Ukrainian Cemetery, Bloomingdale, IL.
