Robert "Bob" Meade

Robert "Bob" Meade, 61, longtime Wood Dale police and fire commissioner, was the beloved husband for 40 years to Sandra (nee Njus); loving father of Heather (Patrick) Hafner and Kristen Meade; and proud grandfather of Alejandra and Declan Hafner.Mr. Meade served as a Wood Dale police commissioner for over 35 years. He was on the Illinois State Police Commission Board and was a member of the board of education. He was also past president of the Lions Club and chamber of commerce, and a former president of the Illinois State Fire and Police Commissioners.The Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, at Humes Funeral Home, 320 W. Lake St., (2 Mi W of Rt 83, 2 Mi W of Rt 53) Addison. Interment will be in Acacia Park Cemetery.Visitation will be from 3-9 PM Friday at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers, memorials to your favorite charity greatly appreciated.
