Stephen A. Bicos, 97, of Addison, Illinois, fell asleep in the Lord on March 26, 2026. Beloved husband of the late Angela (nee Athans). Loving father of Christine (Sam) Rousakis, Tom Bicos, Maria Castricone (Glenn Rodbarry) and George (Sandy) Bicos. Cherished Pappou of Nicole (John) Felke, Laura Rousakis, Angela (Tim) Konopasek, Stephanie Bicos, Nicholas Castricone, Jennifer (Jack) Luby, and Stephen (Taylor) Bicos. Dear great-grandfather of Grace and Rose Felke, Matthew Luby and Quinn Konopasek. Second husband of the late Andriana (nee Anthony) Bicos and her children, Connie Pavlicas, Paula Mitchell, and Christopher (Melissa) Pavlicas and their families.
Stephen was preceded in death by his siblings, Theodore (the late Maria) and Aristidis (Alpida) Bicos. Survived by his loving brother, Aristotelis Bicos and dear sister-in-law, Andriana. Also survived by his nieces and nephews, Tony Bicos, Theodora Haskins, Angela (Brad) Simmonds, Angela (John) Kiriklakis, Demetres (Sara) Bicos, Angeliki Bicos, Andreas Bicos and their families. Loving cousin and friend to many.
Born in Ogden, Utah on January 26, 1929 to the late Athanasios and Angeliki Bicos. Moved with his parents to Tourlada, (Kalavryta) Greece at the age of 4. Returned to the United States at the age of 17 through Ellis Island. Unable to speak a single word of English, Stephen went on to flourish in life becoming a successful businessman with Eastman Kodak Company and after retirement, with Microfilm Services Company. He proudly served in the United States Army as a Quarter Master in Germany and France.
We would like to offer our heartfelt thanks to the caring staff at Sunrise Assisted Living in Bloomingdale, IL and Guardian Hospice in Northfield, IL. May Stephen’s twinkling blue eyes forever shine among the stars above.
Private funeral services were held at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Elmhurst, IL. on April 2, 2026. Interment at Chapel Hill Gardens West in Oakbrook Terrace, IL Memorial contributions in honor of Stephen Bicos may be made to: St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 893 N.
