Susan Simms Tierney

Susan (Simms) Tierney, 88, of Addison, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on December 26, 2025. Beloved Daughter of the late Paul L. Simms and Florence (nee Swoboda) Simms. Loving Mother of Ann (Albert) Forgille, Mike (Anthony Handley) Tierney, Jack (Anna) Tierney and Liz (Jeff) Rendina. Dear Grandmother of Justine (Jordan), Nathan (Chelsea), Matthew, Jacob, Heather, Jason, Ben, Brianne and Jameson. Fond Great- Grandmother of Nolan, Ripley, Eden, Jace, Owen and Raegan. Dear Sister of Joan (Jeff) Andrew and the late Paul L. (Sue) Simms Jr. Cherished Family Members John and Nancy Tierney. Fond Aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Susan loved traveling, reading and crime procedural television. She was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Addison. For 45 years, Susan was a dedicated employee at Jewel in Addison.

Family and friends are to gather for the Memorial Visitation on Friday, January 9, 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. With a Words of Remembrance to be celebrated promptly at 7:00 PM at Humes Funeral Home, 320 W. Lake St., Addison, IL 60101. Funeral to follow Saturday, January 10, 2026 at Humes Funeral Home at 9:00 AM. Proceeding to St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 1233 W. Holtz Ave., Addison, IL.
