Obituary

Mary Sloan nee Shipsky, 98 of Addison. Beloved wife of the late Albert G. Loving mother of Betty (John) Cotte and Albert Jr. (Pixie) Sloan. Cherished grandmother of John (Marta) Cotte, Jason Cotte, Damon (Ana Rossetti) Sloan, Daniel (Mariah) Sloan and Dana McEnery. Great grandmother of 10. Dear sister of Richard Shipsky and Joseph Shipsky, the late John Shipsky, the late Kathryn Latham, the late Lillian Williams and the late Peter Paul Shipsky.  Visitation Friday 4-8 PM, service at 5:30 PM at Humes Funeral Home, 320 W. Lake St., Addison (2 Mi. W. of Rt. 83, 2 Mi. R. of Rt. 52). Graveside service Saturday, 11:30 AM at St. Michael the Archangel, Palatine. If desired. memorials to The Alzheimer's Association greatly appreciated.

Mary was an avid gardener whose greatest joy in life was her family. From spending time with and caring for her grandchildren, to cooking for and feeding her family, her love and attention knew no bounds. She will also be remembered for her caring nature - she was devoted to anyone and everyone around her, caring for the sick and taking people into her own home.
