Michael "Mike" Luckow

November 20, 1975 — December 23, 2021

Addison

Michael “Mike” R. Luckow, 46 of Addison. Beloved son of Jan and Walt Luckow. Dearest brother of Dawn (Keith) Baldwin and Tracey (Dana) Leon. Cherished uncle of Christopher, Amy, Emily, Mikey, and Jacob. Also survived by his dog and best friend, BoDiddy.

In addition to being a business owner, Mike was known as loyal, generous friend who loved deeply—this included music of all kinds, fishing, the Bears, Cubs and Hawks, animals, and those lucky enough to be part of his tribe. For him, “family” included people not just related by blood, and family meant everything to him. He could always be counted on to show up when needed, no matter the cost. He was a fierce, fearless protector of those he loved… he always had your back. He was smarter than many people knew and had an incredible sense of humor. He loved to have fun and there are countless stories of his shenanigans that will be remembered. His life made an impact on so many and we’re better because of it. He will be missed beyond measure and was taken too soon.

Memorial Visitation Saturday, January 29, 2022 from 2PM - 5PM, with a Memorial Service at 4PM, at Humes Funeral Home, 320 W. Lake St., Addison (2 Mi. W. of Rt. 83, 2 Mi. E. Of Rt. 53) officiated by Pastor Scott Hodge. Interment private. For info, www.HumesFH.com or 630.628.8808

Mike’s family was unprepared for this unexpected loss, so a fundraiser has been set up by a friend of the family to help cover some of these costs. If you feel moved to support them in this way, additional information can be found at: https://www.gofundme.com/f/in-loving-memory-of-mike-luckow
