John Humes Jr. was the proud owner of Humes Funeral Home for over 30 years, and a licensed director for over 50 years. Throughout the course of his esteemed career,  Mr. Humes was a dedicated member of the community and active in many local organizations, as well as a proud member of St. Philip the Apostle Parish. He leaves an indelible mark on all of the families and lives he has touched. 

While he is greatly missed, we are happy that he now enjoys well earned relaxation in sunny Arizona.

Matthew is a proud fourth generation Funeral Director, continuing the tradition that the Conboy family began in 1885. He is dedicated to the needs and wishes of each and every one of the families who chooses to entrust Humes Funeral Home with the care of their loved one. Committed to honoring the original mission that began so many generations before him, he understands the importance of providing the community with the same level of family operated service that Humes Funeral Home is known for. 

He is a proud father, and spends his downtime traveling, staying active and making memories with his two children. 

Samantha is the newest addition to the Humes Funeral Home family. A 2020 graduate of Worsham College of Mortuary Science, she truly values working with families to deliver clear communication during difficult times. Samantha supports every family she serves with care, compassion and professionalism. 

Outside of work, Samantha enjoys spending time with her cat, Miso, and watching her favorite reality TV shows.

Liz has been with the Humes Funeral Home family since 2008. She is truly committed to the daily operations, and assisting the directors and each family that walks through the door, supporting them through every step of honoring their loved one. She strives to provide personalized and special touches to celebrate each life lived. 

Liz is a devoted mother to her son, Evan. She is an avid traveler, photographer, music enthusiast and animal lover.

Joan has been an integral part of the Humes Funeral Home family since 2018, guiding and helping families during visitations and services as well as assisting in the office and funeral arranging process. 

Originally from Iowa, by way of Minneapolis, she now calls Addison home. Joan enjoys spending time with family and friends, taking walks and working in her yard and garden.
